Updates: Fright Night Remake

The remake to the 1980's cult hit "Fright Night" is gearing up fairly rapidly. The last time I covered the project back in April, Anton Yelchin had been cast in the title role of Charlie Brewster. Since then we've gotten a few new cast members along with some more details about location and plot developments. Fright Night Gets Brewster

More and more remakes are happening these days in Hollywood and Dreamworks latest remake has found its star. Anton Yelchin (Star Trek, Terminator Salvation) has signed on to play the lead character Charley Brewster in "Fright Night." The original 1985 vampire comedy opened to moderate success never reaching the top of the Box Office, leaving some speculation as to why Dreamworks would option a remake. Casting Change for 'Cowboys'


"Sherlock Holmes" has proved to be viable hit and with a sequel looming Robert Downey Jr. has opted to drop out of "Cowboys & Aliens" reuniting him with Iron Man helmer Jon Favreau. This leaves "Cowboys & Aliens" and Dreamworks without a lead. Without a lead, Dreamworks is searching for a new one. Checkout who one of their top options is after the break...

Avast, Spielberg Eyes 'Pirate'
