KCET's Summer Cinema Series

Like seeing good movies? How about hearing cast and directors talk about them? Live in the Los Angeles area? Well you are in luck, KCET recently kicked off their summer Cinema Series. It is a two month series showcasing 8 new movies and 1 special screening of a very special Johnny Mercer scored film. Every Tuesday for 9 weeks over summer at the classic Aero theatre you will see 1 movie including a Q&A with cast and filmmakers moderated by film journalist Pete Hammond. Checkout details below...

Don't Talk, We Mean It!

The Alamo Drafthouse has made a name for itself by setting a high precedent in cinema going. It is (from what I hear) the premiere theatrical experience in the United States. Mike Mills Talks - Beginners

Over the course of the summer KCET is hosting a Cinema Series at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, California. Nine special nights showcasing eight new movies before their theatrical release along with one classic Johnny Mercer scored film. Each screening will also include a Q&A immediately following the film with actors and filmmakers hosted by film critic Pete Hammond. The first film of the series was "Beginners" written and directed by Mike Mills who was nice enough to attend despite having a very busy schedule.
