Schofizzy's Movie Alphabet

Who doesn't love a good movie list? I know I do and recently was asked by @bobfreelander of Rupert Pupkin Speaks to do my own Alphabet Movie List. This sounded like a really fun idea and something that I could really get into. Working on the list I realized there a ton of movies I could put for nearly every letter of the alphabet but after much deliberation I've settled on these 26 titles. So without further ado checkout my ABCs below....

'The Wolverine' Loses Aronofsky

Let's be frank, very few actually liked the 'Wolverine' prequel directed by Gavin Hood, most actually hated it and aren't afraid to bash it whenever they get a chance. 20th Century Fox seems to want to do right by the franchise but since X-Men: The Last Stand things just don't seem to go their way. Which brings us to the most recent news, Darren Aronofsky has decided to step down from directing the sequel before it goes in front of cameras. Read...

Bobcat Goldthwait's Next Project

I love Bobcat Goldthwait. As a kid he appealed to my childlike sensibilities and now as an adult he appeals to grown-up sensibilities. Fuck, I even love his weird tattoo on his arm with a salted potato and a fork. The man is a quiet genius, not to mention a terribly sincere and loving guy. Ok ok, enough Bobcat praise and on to the actual meat of this post. Bobcat was recently on the Adam Carolla Show and briefly talked about his latest directing...

Rebooting Robocop

If you follow along you know that remakes are a normal practice in Hollywood. Studios want and desire established stories and seem to fear original films. This is standard operating procedure but it doesn't mean it should be. Now I'm not against the idea of remaking film but there are certain properties we hold dear to our hearts and realizing that these will be remade can be a tough pill to swallow. Which brings me to the current status, news is...

The Wright Stuff II Rundown

Back in January at my favorite revival movie theater in Los Angeles, the New Beverly Cinema, director Edgar Wright hosted eighteen nights of awesome movie programming titled The Wright Stuff II. The event kicked off with a triple feature of Edgar's three most current titles Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Over the course of nearly three weeks of programming Edgar Wright hosted one midnight feature and eight double...
